What is IVR?
IVR or Interactive Voice Response is a technology that allows a computer to understand keypad and voice inputs. This technology is used a great deal in customer service phone systems, but is now becoming popular in the automobile industry to offer hands-free operation of navigation systems and cell phones. IVR systems can be pre-recorder or dynamically generate content based on the flow of the call to further direct users on how to proceed next. An IVR can be used to walk a caller through any process that can be broken down into a series of simple options.
